$575,155 Raised in Support of the CT Campaign!
What an incredible evening! On October 9, more than 600 guests put on their favourite flannel and came together for an unforgettable night of celebration, generosity, and community spirit at our annual Flannel Fest!
This year's event was especially meaningful as we celebrated the extraordinary individuals who make a difference in healthcare across our region, while raising critical funds for the Foundation's $5.1 million CT Campaign to bring a CT scanner to WestView Hospital & Continuing Care.
Celebrating Our Healthcare Heroes
One of the most meaningful parts of Flannel Fest is the opportunity to recognize the remarkable people who dedicate themselves to caring for others.
This year, we proudly celebrated 18 Healthcare Heroes, nominated by their peers and representing departments across WestView Hospital & Continuing Care. Each was recognized for their outstanding commitment, compassion, and dedication to the important work they do every single day.
We also presented two Grateful Patient Awards, recognizing healthcare professionals nominated by community members who experienced exceptional care during their time as patients. These heartfelt nominations remind us of the lasting impact that kindness, compassion, and exceptional care can have on patients and their families.
Our Volunteer of the Year Award honoured an extraordinary individual who tirelessly gives their time, talents, and experience to support the Foundation and advance our mission. Volunteers are truly the heart of our organization, and we are incredibly grateful for the difference they make.

A Community That Continues to Inspire
The generosity we witnessed throughout the evening was nothing short of extraordinary!
Together, we raised an incredible $575,155 for the CT Campaign!
A special thank-you to MIC Medical Imaging, whose remarkable $100,000 donation helped lead the way, accompanied by a challenge to our community to match their generosity.
That challenge was answered in an extraordinary way by Karen Worbeck, who not only stepped forward to meet the $100,000 challenge but went even further, making an incredible $250,000 contribution toward bringing a CT scanner to our community.
We were equally inspired by St. Andrew's United Church, whose belief in the importance of accessible local healthcare resulted in a generous $50,000 donation.
The generosity continued during our Cash Call, with Deford contributing $10,000 to inspire matching donations from Fred & Lorreen Kichton, and Mike & Carla Klein and the Dear Family generously adding another $5,000 to encourage our guests to give.
These were just some of the many incredible moments throughout the evening. Throughout the evening, we witnessed so many incredible acts of generosity. Every donation, regardless of its size, matters and brings us one step closer to our goal. We are sincerely grateful for each and every contribution. Every gift represents someone who believes in our vision for stronger local healthcare, and we want every donor to know just how much their generosity and support mean to us.
From generous donations and enthusiastic bidding to heartfelt stories and spontaneous acts of kindness, Flannel Fest was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
Thank You to Our Generous Sponsors & Cash Call Supporters!
Flannel Fest would not have been possible without the generosity of our incredible sponsors and Cash Call supporters. Your contributions helped make this year's event an extraordinary success and brought us one step closer to our goal of bringing a CT scanner to WestView Hospital & Continuing Care.
Every Story Matters. Every Moment Matters.
Another particularly moving highlight of the evening was Daylene's Family Story. Her family's experience offered a powerful and personal reminder of why timely access to healthcare, close to home, matters so much.
If you have a few moments, we encourage you to watch Daylene's video. Her story beautifully illustrates the human impact behind our campaign and the difference this essential diagnostic equipment will make for patients and families throughout our region.
$3.3 Million Raised — And Counting!
Since officially launching our CT Campaign on June 10, our community has helped us raise an extraordinary $3.3 million toward our $5.1 million goal!
We are incredibly encouraged by the progress made in just over four months. Every contribution brings us another step closer to making a CT scanner at WestView Hospital & Continuing Care a reality, improving access to timely diagnosis and ensuring more patients can receive the care they need, closer to home.
From the Bottom of Our Hearts, Thank You!
To everyone who attended Flannel Fest, purchased tickets, placed a bid, made a donation, sponsored the evening, volunteered their time, or helped make this event possible — thank you!
And to our donors, community organizations, businesses, and philanthropic partners who continue to stand beside us, please know how deeply we value your generosity, confidence, and trust in our Foundation.
Your support is about so much more than dollars raised. It represents a shared belief in the importance of strong local healthcare and a commitment to ensuring our families, friends, and neighbours have access to the care they deserve.
We simply could not undertake a campaign of this magnitude without you. Your generosity inspires us, your trust motivates us, and your belief in our mission continues to move us forward.
Flannel Fest was more than a successful fundraiser. It was a celebration of the people, partnerships, and incredible community spirit that make our region so special.
We have much to celebrate, and even more to look forward to as we continue this journey together.
Moments Matter. Local Healthcare Matters.
With heartfelt gratitude,
