  • Ronna Antoniuk RN, Public Health
“When our son Finn was born in December 2023, he struggled with feeding, leaving him in pain, starving, jaundiced, and unable to eat.  Ronna met with us every few hours in clinic, patiently teaching us how to syringe feed him while also checking in our mental health as we watched our newborn suffer.  At one of these visits, she noticed the slightest sign of breathing difficulty, signs that would likely have gone unnoticed without her close and consistent monitoring.  She urged us to go to the Stollery, where only hours later Finn stopped breathing and had to be resuscitated.  If not for Ronna’s vigilance and dedication, our son would not be here today.  Ronna’s exceptional care and unwavering commitment quite literally saved our son’s life.  Her attention to the smallest details combined with her compassion for us as parents, ensured we received both lifesaving medical support and the emotional resources we needed.  Her impact extends beyond one family; she embodies the kind of care that strengthens an entire community.  Every time we see her at our routine clinic visit, we are reminded of her extraordinary role in Finn’s story. This community is better because of Ronna, and we will always be grateful for her presence in our lives.”
